Mulberries taste delicious and have a positive health effects. Because mulberries have a high level of antioxidants they are considered a perfect anti-aging fruit and effective counterpart for free radicals. Mulberries grow on trees (botanical: Morus), among the oldest crops and are related to the fig within the mulberry family. They look like blackberries with a juicy, sweet taste. The white, red and black mulberries are native to Asia and North America, and can be eaten raw and dried. Ancient Persians considered white mulberries to be a symbol of wisdom. The Arabs call the dried white mulberries "bread of the desert" due to their nutritional value.
