Quinoa is the very healthy seed of the plant of the same name. It originates in South America, where it has been successfully replacing common grains for approximately 6,000 years. Quinoa is a particularly valuable food because it contains essential amino acids and vitamins in high concentrations as well as a wide range of minerals. Quinoa is completely alkaline, which is why it helps you eat a balanced and healthy diet.
Black quinoa is characterized by its intense nutty taste. This aroma goes particularly well with sweet dishes, with fruit and colourful vegetables or with curry dishes. The fine black grains retain their expressive colour during cooking and can be prepared as a fine side dish, a creative salad or an unusual pan dish.
